For quite awhile now I have been wondering what we should do with our newsletter Heir-Lines. Like many newspapers throughout the country, because of rising costs and expenses, they have decided to go “Online” with their paper. In fact, many district church newsletters have taken this approach, along with many of our denominational magazines (and our local church as well). It should come as no secret that many businesses organizations and ministries have suffered tremendous budget cut backs because of the constant rising costs and economy that we are living in today, and its impacted GHEA, Inc. as well. Our costs keep going up for the printing, postage permit, mailings ect, and I’ve been trying to decide as to what to do. Four times a year, at a cost of about $1500.00 we mail out about 1600 newsletters throughout the United States that go to District Superintendents; pastors; ministry partners; along with friends. So, as you can see it’s quite an expense.
Personally, I still like holding a newspaper in my hands instead of going Online. I really haven’t made a decision at this time, but I have been thinking about putting Heir-Lines Online like others are doing. I asked my “adopted Mama”, Jane Krutz, what she thought about this and she said, “Darlin, don’t you dare do it!!! Sweetheart, I don’t even have a computer and wouldn’t even know how to get Online/Internet!!! And I enjoy reading your newsletter!”
Well, I’m not going to get my Mama upset, so for the time being we’re going to keep putting it out by faith! God’s always provided for us, and if you could find it in your heart to help us with this expense it would be very much appreciated, I assure you!
