And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t get discouraged and give up. That is why whenever we can we should always be kind to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers. Galatians 6:9-10
This is really a interesting passage from Paul’s letter to the church in Galatia that really speaks volumes to us today. The three points that really jump out to me are:
1.) We are to be doing right NOT being right. There is a huge difference between doing the right things and trying to be right. When you are doing what is right then there is and will be a reaping. When you are always trying to be right you are always trying to make others wrong.
2.) We are to be patient. It is easy to quit when we get discouraged however this scripture says it is up to us to keep ourselves encouraged. And then it tells us how to keep encouraged by the third point.
3.) We are to be kind to EVERYONE and especially our fellow Christians. It is easier to be kind to people when you aren’t trying making them wrong all the time.
